A milestone in SF

Based on a short story by Philip K. Dick, the blade runner by Ridley Scott stars Harrison Ford as an android hunter in a dystopian Los Angeles.

Considered a commercial failure when it was released in theaters 40 years ago, the film has enjoyed renewed interest thanks to its many VHS releases, and is now considered a staple of science- fiction.

Harrison Ford reprized his role in its cinematic sequel, alongside Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. blade runner 2049 received generally positive reviews and grossed C$340 million, nearly double its budget.

The cast and release date of blade runner 2099 have not yet been disclosed.

Note that this is the second television project based on the popular intellectual property acquired by Alcon Entertainment in 2011. The production company recently collaborated on the animated series Blade Runner: Black Lotusthe first season of which aired last winter on Adult Swim.
