power outages and metro station closed

Due to heavy torrential rains, flooding is underway Wednesday evening in areas of Montreal. More than 50 mm of rain fell in less than an hour and a half, and several services are disrupted or paralyzed.

According to Environment Canada and Weather Quebec, we could expect up to 20 mm of rain in Quebec. The rain would end around noon tomorrow with sunshine returning tomorrow afternoon. There is currently a thunderstorm potential, but nothing severe.

For example, the Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) reports that due to water infiltration at the Square-Victoria-OACI station, no train can make a stop at this station.

The Longueuil station was not spared by the floods.

A worker is seen trying to drain water that has seeped into the Longueuil station.
