Obstructions and lane reconfiguration for Route 132

As of August 15, a new lane configuration on Route 132 will be put in place to facilitate access to the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel. Obstructions around Route 132 are therefore required over the next few days to allow this reconfiguration.

A complete closure of the route 132 eastbound between exit 82 (boul. Taschereau / Jacques-Cartier Bridge / Montreal) and the entrance from Highway 20 will be in effect between Friday 11 p.m. and Monday 5 a.m.. The ramps for this section will therefore be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday. Users are therefore invited to take highways 10, 20 and 30 to get to the tunnel.

As for night closures, two lanes out of three on the route 132 will be closed in the same sector, which will cause obstructions to traffic, Wednesday to Friday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.

It should be noted that from the monday august 15, Highway 132 eastbound will no longer be accessible from the entrance from Roland-Therrien Boulevard.

Lane reconfiguration

These traffic obstructions surrounding Route 132 are necessary to ensure a reconfiguration of the lanes. Concrete slides will separate the corridors, depending on the desired destination. The Ministère des Transports ensures that this measure will improve traffic flow and make it safer.

The measure aims to prevent last-minute lane changes, which would cause congestion in the sector of the interchange of highways 20 and 25 and 132. Users are therefore encouraged to take the lane in the direction of their destination. as soon as they enter the Roland-Therrien Boulevard sector.

The routes in question:
– A lane allowing you to continue your journey on Route 132 eastbound;
– Two lanes providing access to the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel and Highway 25 northbound;
– One lane providing access to Autoroute 20 (Jean-Lesage) eastbound.
