Samsung just wrapped up the week by unveiling two foldable devices, new smartwatches and an update to its Galaxy Buds Pro line.
While there weren’t any real surprises in these announcements, the devices are getting the quality updates and refinements you’d expect from a massive group like Samsung.
Galaxy Z Flip 4
Here, there is no hardware innovation strictly speaking, version 4 of this flip phone offers some software innovations such as the Quick Shot function which allows you to see previews of selfies on the cover screen presented in the same format (or ratio ) picture than the actual photo. Samsung claims its sensor is 65% brighter and photos and videos are sharper and more stable, day or night.
Another noteworthy detail, fast charging can now reach 50% in just 30 minutes.
Base price: $1259.99
Galaxy Z Fold 4
The other high-end folding phone, the Z Fold 4 phone retains the same design, but is lighter. Its group of photo sensors becomes more sensitive – the main sensor develops 50 megapixels (Mpx).
Base price: $2269.99
Previous Galaxy Watch watches were plagued by poor battery life, a deficiency that Samsung has corrected on its Series 5 watches with better battery performance.
Another detail, a temperature sensor is now incorporated under the watch – an element that can be interesting for athletes who practice sports in hot weather or simply to fine-tune overall health measurements.
Base price from $349.98.
Galaxy Buds2 Pro
The first detail that jumps to the eye will undoubtedly be the higher price asked by Samsung for its new Buds2 Pro earbuds, but, in return, we obtain high fidelity audio quality (Hi Fi) via Bluetooth, cancellation of external noise thanks to 3 microphones and a better design that’s 15% more compact than previous Buds Pro.
Base price: $289.99.
These new devices are available for pre-order and will be available for purchase starting August 26, 2022 online at , at Samsung Experience stores and at major carriers and retailers in Canada.
