Bridge, brainstorming taught at the IfS

A famous card game once enjoyed by mathematicians, bridge will be honored in the learning lessons for beginners that will be given every Wednesday starting September 14 at La Station, in L’Île-des-Sœurs.

The course session will last 12 weeks and costs $25. “At the end of the session, people should be able to play in a bridge club. The purchase of the book published by Bridge Québec inc. entitled Initiation au bridge by Francine Viens with the collaboration of Hani Chéhata will be recommended”, can we read in the short invitation to the bridge course of Mrs. Fernande, the instigator of this fun activity.

If it makes you think of a return to the classroom benches, it’s no coincidence. Ms. Fernande and Mr. Gaston, the two workshop facilitators, were respectively professors of chemistry at university and physics in high school. However, unlike school, “it’s really to have fun” that bridge lessons take place, assures Ms. Fernande.

Date, time and price information may change depending on room availability. Registration is done online on the La Station website (Action Prévention Verdun), or by phone at 514 769-2243.
