The Montreal group Bran Van 3000 will perform Thursday outdoors in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district, during an alley show organized by the Commercial Development Company (SDC) of this eastern borough of Montreal.
Some 7,000 people have indicated their interest in participating in the event on the SDC Hochelaga’s Facebook page. The show will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Gaboury Lane, adjacent to Morgan Park.
Co-founded by James Di Salvio in the mid-1990s, Bran Van 3000 is a collective of around ten artists who launched a cross-Canada tour this summer for the 25e anniversary of his iconic album Glee.
The August 25 concert will be the only alley show presented this year, according to what the Hochelaga team said, which had invited artists like Bernard Adamus, Marjo, Yann Perreau or Vincent Vallières in the past.
