A well-felt “Good evening” from Lou-Adriane Cassidy

It was in a Sala Rossa filled with an attentive and won over audience that the talented and energetic Lou-Adriane Cassidy officially presented on Montreal soil, Wednesday evening, her second album Lou-Adriane Cassidy says to you: good eveningpublished in November 2021.

If it was her “Montreal comeback”, it was far from being the first time that she presented this show. After a small intimate launch at the Esco when the album was released during the pandemic, Lou-Adriane toured Quebec all summer long, passing through the most important festivals, from La Noce to FME, without forgetting the Festive.

An overflowing energy

The result is a superbly polished concert during which the singer shines with a thousand lights, deploying different registers, sometimes soft and calm, sometimes, even more often, deeply rock’n’roll.

Because, yes, a Lou-Adriane Cassidy show is moving! Without the musician having to do many interventions at the microphone, her bubbling energy emerges contagiously thanks to her intense stage presence. She jumps, dances, kneels and indulges in head bang and even at screamlike in a heavy metal show.

talented musicians

Its musicians have a lot to do with the rock’n’roll dimension of the show. On the piano and the drums, we find respectively Vincent Gagnon and PE Beaudoin, members of the Ping Pong Go formation. The bass is provided by Alexandre Martel, also co-producer and co-author of the album, and responsible for the staging of the show . As a guitarist, Thierry Larose, known for his solo musical project, stands out from the crowd. His jubilant electric guitar solos always arouse the ecstasy of the public.

A rich repertoire

Between the rooms The body in motion and Between my legs, the singer takes off her dress to continue the show in pale underwear. A daring, but powerful choice, which finds a particularly interesting echo with the sung texts, which explore, like those of the majority of the album, the sexuality of the musician.

After the hectic Listenher partner, Alexandre Martel, brings her a red bathrobe in which she wraps herself up to perform the sweet and magnificent song Okay okayfrom his debut album.

The singer has also been able to delight her oldest fans like his new ones, performing several titles from the first album like The end of the world every day, Dust, What is left and The little deathin addition to the entirety of the second album.

In short, a generous show, which brews while being very warm.
