A new Franco-Quebec music festival is born in France

Transe Atlantique, a new Franco-Quebec music festival, will take off on August 25 in Saintes, in the south-west of France.

The event offers a program of several French-speaking artists. From Quebec, we will find Beyries, Étienne Coppée, Pierre Kwenders, Queen Ka and Safia Nolin.

On the French side, the services will be provided by Walter Astral, Catastrophe, Joseph Chedid, Albin de la Simone, Gael Faure, Xavier Polycarpe and Erik Truffaz.

Transe Atlantique was imagined by Raphaëlle Chovin, a native of Saintes, who notably directed several short films and music videos for Beyries. It was through this meeting that she joined forces with Quebecer Emmanuelle Girard, president of the artistic agency Comme c’est beau (Beyries, Alexandra Stréliski), in order to create this new musical rendezvous.

The two women then teamed up with Jacques Primeau, president of Productions Jacques K Primeau and general manager of Montréal en lumière, as well as Mustapha Terki, general manager of the MEG, to found Transe Atlantique.
